When we mention Emilia Romagna, we immediately think of one of the wines that sets us apart around the world, served at tables to accompany cured meats and cheeses from all over Italy, vinified both dry and sweet, one of the most exported worldwide: Lambrusco. Among the wines, Albana di Romagna also stands out, the first white wine in Italy to receive DOCG status in 1987. In 2010, another white grape variety, Grechetto Gentile, was added to the second DOCG, Pignoletto Classico dei Colli Bolognesi. Very interesting and also more suitable for aging is the Sangiovese grown in the Tuscan-Romagnolo Apennines between the municipalities of Predappio, Modigliana, and Bertinoro.
