Description

Yellow Label is the signature of Veuve Clicquot's quality and style, recreated annually thanks to our priceless collection of reserve wines. Its brilliant yellow label reflects the champagne's vibrant personality and impeccable winemaking credentials.

Yellow Label blends grapes from 50 to 60 different crus. It combines 30-45% reserve wines with grapes from 50 to 60 different crus.

Tasting notes

The predominance of Pinot Noir (50-55%) provides the typical structure of Veuve Clicquot, while Chardonnay (28-33%) adds the essential elegance and finesse in a perfectly balanced wine, and a touch of Meunier (15-20%) completes the blend. Long aging in our crayères (minimum 3 years for Yellow Label) gives the Champagne a silky smoothness.

Cellar

Veuve Clicquot, a house founded in Reims in 1772, owes its name to the famous widow (or veuve) Clicquot, Nicole Barbe Ponsardin—dynamic, intelligent, and innovative—who helped the house achieve international fame. The style, characterized by Pinot Noir, produces vinous and structured Champagnes that still boast great finesse of structure and flavor. As for their aging potential, just think of the bottles found at the bottom of the Baltic Sea in 2010! Made in the early nineteenth century, they have preserved remarkably well, despite being sweeter than contemporary Champagnes.
