Bourbon Whiskey Buffalo Trace Kentucky Cl 70

Buffalo Trace is the flagship bourbon whiskey from Buffalo Trace Distillery, a historic distillery located in one of the most renowned areas for producing American whiskey: the state of Kentucky. The distillery was built in 1858 on the banks of the Kentucky River, just 85 years after the first pioneers arrived in the lands that would become Kentucky.

In 1999, the distillery changed its name to Buffalo Trace, in homage to the American bison who, during their migrations, carved out the paths that allowed pioneers to settle on the banks of the river.

Kentucky's natural resources have enabled spectacular growth in the production of American whiskey, particularly bourbon. Among these is undoubtedly corn, abundant throughout the state, but the quality of the water, filtered through limestone, also plays a key role. This optimizes the fermentation process and limits the impact of impurities such as iron during distillation.

A whiskey in which there is at least 51% corn (maize)

A whiskey aged for at least two years in virgin American oak barrels

The alcohol content of the pure distillate (called “White Dog”) that enters the barrel for aging must not exceed 62.5%
