Description

It is made from Traminer grapes grown in Vasto, in the Codalfa area, approximately 150 meters above sea level, on northeast-facing vineyards, trained using the spurred cordon system and harvested by hand to preserve the delicate aromas.

Tasting notes

Jasci & Marchesani's Traminer Terre di Chieti is a wine that ignites the senses from first glance: a pale, luminous straw yellow that seems to reflect the morning light filtering through the hills of Abruzzo.
On the nose, the profile is typical of aromatic varieties: white flowers, light fruity notes, an almost imperceptible hint of lychee or white peach, blending with fresh, clean hints of aromatic herbs. There's no overstatement; there's balance, elegance, and a harmony that invites you to explore every nuance.
On the palate, the Traminer is dry yet softly pleasing. A gentle freshness and a subtle sapidity lend momentum, making the sip pleasant and harmonious. It doesn't claim to be opulent; rather, it stands out for its subtle elegance, for that floral-fruity character that remains present without ever overpowering.

Cellar

Jasci & Marchesani have been dedicated to organic winemaking since 1960, even anticipating the very concept of sustainable practices. They achieved official certification in 1978, becoming one of the first Italian wineries to do so. Currently, the company's vineyards span 33 hectares, owned by the company, and another 7 hectares, shared-cropped. The oldest vineyard dates back to 1973, allowing them to grow all the grapes themselves, then vinified in the winery, which operates with renewable energy. Each vineyard produces a different product; those cultivated in the Sinello Valley produce saline and savory white wines, while the clayey soil of the hills of the central Vasto area, thanks to its exposure and temperature range, produces a unique and sought-after Montepulciano, such as Janù.
