Pernod Liqueur Cl 70

The Pernod company is a French distillery. The company inherited the Pernod Fils brand, founded by Henri-Louis Pernod in the early 19th century, and was acquired in 1975 by the Pernod Richard group. This liqueur is the legacy of Pernod 45, first marketed in 1938, coinciding with the passage of French legislation re-permitting the sale of 45% alcohol by volume liqueurs and alcoholic beverages. From 1951 to 1954, Pernod marketed a liqueur labeled Pernod 51, a reference to its year of creation. Since 2005, Pernod has marketed Pernod with wormwood extracts. This aniseed liqueur brought Pernod great success in the late 19th century, taking advantage of the lifting of the ban on the sale of wormwood in France. This 68° sugar-free liqueur contains a proportion of thujone, a ketone and a terpene, present in Roman absinthe at levels lower than 10mg/l, which complies with current French legislative requirements.
