Description

Of all the world's red grape varieties, Pinot Noir is considered one of the most noble and, at the same time, the most difficult to interpret, both for winemakers and consumers. At Falesco, this prized variety is grown at the highest point of the Montecchio Estate, 450 meters above sea level.

Tasting notes

The perlage is very fine and persistent. The aroma is rich, with hints of rose petals and wild strawberries. The palate is fresh, well-structured, and savory, with a silky, enveloping finish.

Cellar

Brothers Renzo and Riccardo Cotarella founded the Falesco Winery in Montefiascone, in Upper Lazio, with the aim of recovering the area's ancient vines.

After many years of experimentation and research on the Roscetto variety, production of Poggio dei Gelsi began: a selection of EST! EST!! EST!!! that has restored prestige to an unjustly forgotten territory and wine.

Falesco enriches its assets with the acquisition of the Marciliano farm, covering approximately 260 hectares, located on the stunning hillside south of Orvieto, in the municipalities of Montecchio and Baschi. These vineyards provide the grapes for the Marciliano wine, and the new winery was built on this site in Umbria.
