Tasting notes

A captivating sip, fused with a dynamic perlage that translates the essence of the material into refined elegance. The key to its interpretation remains its full structure, a paradigm of unprecedented rationality, a nerve center of freshness and pungent minerality. Interweavings of impalpable chalkiness, puffs of powder, yellow citrus, almond, salt, broom, and honeysuckle, are interpreted as tension and depth, an authentic glass of free-thinking gastronomy. The grace of the sip is the essential stylistic signature, and its striking vertical development on a signature palate is astonishing.

Cellar

In the second half of the twentieth century, the furnace ceased operations and Vittorio Moretti took it over for one main reason: childhood memories of his wife Mariella, who spent her afternoons after school in this factory, which belonged to her godmother.
When Franciacorta was at the height of its development in the 1980s, Vittorio and Mariella Moretti decided together to convert the brickworks into a winery. Its spacious rooms and long brick-firing galleries proved perfect for maturing Franciacorta wines and welcoming wine enthusiasts. Thus, the former working place transformed its function, focusing on the land and the vineyard, while maintaining its origins, preserving the sobriety and serene style of Lombardy's agricultural estates.
A meticulous renovation, respecting the style of the original designs, transformed the ancient Fornace Biasca into the winery it is today. Spread over 7,000 square meters, the restoration project included a conservative restoration of the central body of the furnace, using the ground floor for winemaking and aging, the first floor for storage of the finished product, and the second floor for parties and events, seating over 300 people.
