Description

In the Gallura dialect, "Vign'angena" means "other people's vineyard." The name refers to the grapes grown on managed vineyards, with which this wine was produced from the very beginning until the new estate-owned vineyards reached maturity. First vinified in 1994, Vign'angena is intense, minerally, and fragrant, expressing the Vermentino di Gallura grape, vinified exclusively in stainless steel tanks.

Tasting notes

Pale straw yellow in colour with light greenish reflections, very clear.
On the nose it evokes intense, floral aromas of orange blossom, iris, broom, hawthorn and fruity notes of yellow apple with pleasant mineral notes.
On the palate it is fresh, lively, with full and fragrant pulp, it closes with a nice mineral and persistent finish.

Cellar

Capichera is an Italian winery located in a corner of Sardinia, nestled among the granite rocks of Gallura, in Arzachena, in a unique and captivating natural setting steeped in important and ancient traditions. A family-run winery that, following a brilliant intuition in the late 1970s, brought about a significant transformation in winemaking beyond Sardinia: it was the first winery to successfully promote the barrique aging of pure Vermentino, offering a model based on the highest quality production and ongoing research through viticulture that respects and rigorously respects the terroir, allowing this grape variety to reveal its remarkable characteristics and unique features. Many authoritative wine critics still maintain that Capichera's history is the history of quality Vermentino. Passion, significant investment, and improved production methods over the years have established new and high quality standards, with priority given to each vineyard and individual plot, enhancing its unique characteristics. This development process has led over time to achieving innovative and exclusive results not only for Vermentino but also for Carignano and Syrah, giving rise to high-profile reds, strongly identifying with the Gallura region and united by the same production philosophy.
