From the legendary closed Trinidad distillery, a rum with a touch of added complexity. While very traditional in its tarry and highly tannic flavor, the result of its initial accelerated years of oak maturation in a tropical climate, we've allowed it to mellow a bit over the last seven years in an ex-sherry whisky cask. The result is still dark and quite extreme, with those classic notes of black licorice, anise, and coffee, but with an extra intriguing and succulent layer of juicy fruitiness, pastry biscuits, and raisins.
