Description

Terra Vizina is a wine brand that offers several DOC and DOCG Proseccos, with a fairly elegant yet accessible style. I'll give you a detailed description of Terra Vizina Proseccos, based on the different versions I've found (Brut, Extra Dry, DOCG).
Terra Vizina Proseccos are made from Glera vineyards (often blended with other varieties, depending on the cuvée) on predominantly alluvial soil.
This type of soil gives freshness and a certain minerality to the wine, making it balanced and very drinkable.
One of the most classic versions is the Prosecco DOC Brut Terra Vizina. It has a pale straw yellow color, with a fine and persistent perlage. On the nose, it offers fruity and floral aromas: notes of ripe apple, but also a sweet touch of almond.
On the palate it is pleasantly full, with a good structure and a vibrant freshness that leads to a juicy and inviting finish.
There's also a Prosecco DOC Extra Dry version. This differs slightly in its glycemic profile, being a bit sweeter than the Brut, but still maintains a pleasant dryness. According to the sales information, it has an alcohol content of approximately 11.5% vol.
Its color is similar to Brut, pale yellow, and the perlage is fine and consistent. On the nose, the aroma is fruity and delicate, with a savory and aromatic note, while the palate is inviting and harmonious.
For those looking for something more “precious”, Terra Vizina also offers a Prosecco Superiore DOCG Extra Dry (from the Valdobbiadene area).
It has a pale straw yellow color and a fine, persistent perlage.
On the nose, delicate, fruity (especially apple and white-fleshed fruit) and floral aromas emerge, with a touch of almond and acacia flowers.
On the palate it is elegant, aromatic, well-structured, and particularly inviting: the finish is slightly sweet, with sensations of bread crust and yeast.
Overall, Terra Vizina Proseccos are designed to be versatile wines: perfect as an aperitif, but also paired with light fish dishes, appetizers, or delicate desserts. The fine perlage, moderate structure, and balanced acidity and sweetness make these Proseccos pleasant to drink and never boring.
From a production point of view, the sparkling wine is made using the Charmat method (autoclave), which promotes freshness and preserves the primary aromas of the grapes without weighing them down.

Tasting notes

Terra Vizina Prosecco displays a bright straw yellow color, permeated by a fine, persistent perlage that hints at a sensation of freshness. On the nose, it is immediately fragrant, with clean aromas of green apple, Williams pear, and white peach, accompanied by floral notes of acacia blossom and hawthorn. A light note of sweet almond and a hint of minerality complete the aromatic profile, making it elegant yet spontaneous.
On the palate, the attack is soft and fresh, with a creamy perlage that integrates well without being aggressive. The fruit found on the nose returns clearly to the palate, especially apple and pear, supported by a lively acidity that lends energy and drinkability. The structure is balanced, and the overall impression is of a harmonious, linear, and pleasant wine, with a clean finish that subtly recalls almonds and leaves a savory and refreshing trail. The finish is medium, yet always elegant, typical of a well-crafted Prosecco focused on freshness.

Cellar

The winery associated with the Terra Vizina brand is Azienda Agricola Casere, a Veneto-based company based in San Stino di Livenza, in the province of Venice. It is a historic winery, founded in 1920 and now run by the Zanchetton family, who oversees its management and production. The vineyards extend over approximately fifty-five hectares and are located on alluvial soils, a typical local soil that gives the wines freshness, minerality, and a clean aromatic profile. The winery primarily processes Glera grapes for the production of Prosecco, but also traditional local and international varieties, integrating modern techniques with a traditional approach that respects the terroir. Production focuses primarily on sparkling wines made using the Charmat method, ideal for preserving the fruit's natural fragrance and maintaining a fresh, direct, and pleasant style. Terra Vizina is the brand under which the winery creates a line of wines designed to be contemporary and accessible, while maintaining a high level of quality. In recent years, the winery has expanded its presence abroad, distributing its products in over twenty-five countries and establishing itself as a versatile producer capable of expressing, through Prosecco and other wines in its range, the luminous and fertile character of the Veneto plain.
