Rosso Antico is born from the expert blend of select white wines and 33 aromatic herbs. Three species of Artemisia—Great Wormwood, Gentle Wormwood, and Pontic Wormwood—lend its characteristic personality and just the right amount of pleasant bitterness. The truly distinctive element of Rosso Antico's bouquet is Ireos Florentina, the finest variety of Iris, which gives the vermouth its typical floral note. In keeping with the traditional recipe, the Iris is crafted using an artisanal process to preserve and enhance its properties and aromatic principles. The aromatic herbs are preserved whole until ready to use, preserving their aromatic characteristics. They are processed using traditional extraction methods, through blending and boiling: the careful processing of the raw materials, combined with particular attention to each production stage, are the secret of the Rosso Antico formula.
