Description

Upon arrival at the winery, the grapes were gently pressed and vinified separately to enhance the characteristics of each variety. The resulting must was brought to a temperature of 10°C for approximately 24 hours to promote natural clarification. It was then transferred to stainless steel tanks, where alcoholic fermentation took place at a controlled temperature of 16°C. Vivia aged briefly in stainless steel on its lees for approximately three months before being bottled.

Tasting notes

Vivia displays a straw yellow color with bright greenish highlights. The nose is characterized by delicate fruity aromas, particularly apple and pineapple, harmoniously blended with subtle floral notes of lime and chamomile. The bouquet is rounded out by elegant citrus notes and Mediterranean herbs, reminiscent of sage. On the palate, it is vibrant and savory, with a fresh, persistent finish characterized by hints of candied citrus and rosemary.

Cellar

Fattoria Le Mortelle is located in the heart of the Tuscan Maremma, just a few kilometers from Castiglione della Pescaia, in an extraordinary and fascinating location both for its natural beauty and the history of the surrounding area. The Antinori family has always been present in these lands. In 1863, a property deed listed Poggio Franco, one of the estate's most suitable vineyards, among its holdings, along with other parcels of land. Since 1999, the family has worked on both the vineyards and the new winery, convinced that this area, still emerging in the Italian winemaking scene, is highly suited to the production of quality wines and that the characteristics of the terroir and the varietals grown here can best express themselves. The estate extends across 270 hectares, 170 of which are planted with vineyards of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc, in addition to more recent plantings of white grape varieties such as Vermentino, Ansonica, and Viognier, and a small portion of Carménère. The soil, of medium texture, sandy and silty, has a predominantly siliceous-clayey composition and is, in some areas, rich in skeleton.
