Castello della Sala San Giovanni DOC Wine, 150cl, Wooden Case

San Giovanni della Sala is straw yellow in color with greenish highlights. The nose is intense, characterized by notes of white flowers, complemented by citrus and white-fleshed fruit. On the palate, it has a good structure, characterized by excellent flavor yet supported by a pleasant freshness.

Castello della Sala is located in Umbria, a short distance from the Tuscan border, approximately 18 kilometers from the historic city of Orvieto. The lands of the Castello, an imposing medieval manor, extend over 500 hectares, 170 hectares of which are planted with vineyards, at an altitude of 220-470 meters above sea level, amid the rolling hills that characterize the beautiful countryside of this area. The soil is predominantly clayey and calcareous, rich in fossil shells, with vineyards well exposed to the rising sun and excellent temperature ranges: Castello della Sala is a highly suited area for the production of white wines. One exception: Pinot Noir, which finds ideal conditions in this terroir to express its full potential.
