The Li Duni winery is located in Badesi, in Gallura, in a hilly area that slopes down towards the sea of the Gulf of Asinara.
An evocative succession of microenvironments characterizes this unique terroir of Northern Sardinia.
On one side, the rolling hills rich in vegetation; on the other, the vast sandy plateau, where the vines find an ideal environment for their growth. Over the centuries, this specific terroir has been enhanced by the experience of local winemakers who have succeeded, and still succeed, in producing excellent wines from these arid and difficult lands, which nevertheless yield excellent grapes.
A mix of soil, sun, and winds blowing from the sea are the distinctive features of this microenvironment.
We are at the gateway to Gallura, where the sandy soil from granite disintegration, the proximity of the sea and the coastal dunes, the centuries-old junipers and Mediterranean scrub, the long exposure to the sun and the natural nighttime temperature range are characteristics that make the grapes grown in these soils rich in aromas and nuances that are difficult to find in other areas of Sardinia.
Viticulture has been going on in these areas for centuries, with a great winemaking tradition distinguished by the cultivation of ungrafted vines.
