Description

This characterful wine is the fruit of the prized grape variety grown in the Crivelli Vineyard in the Punggl area. In this unique and extraordinary location, the vineyard is enhanced by the presence of high-density vines planted with select Chardonnay clones. Favored by optimal conditions, this extraordinary Chardonnay grows and matures on the alluvial soils of fine sand with sediments of silt and clay that characterize the slopes of the scree cones typical of the Magrè ssdv area, in the Bassa Atesina plain. The favorable microclimate, characterized by significant temperature variations between day and night, is decisively influenced by the intense breezes from the Favogna mountain and those of the Ora river, which blow daily, ensuring excellent aeration of the berries. All this, combined with the ideal radiation of the area, determines the extraordinary quality of the grapes from this elegant grape variety.
The bunches are poured into the pneumatic press already crushed and destemmed. The grapes are briefly cold macerated before pressing to enhance the wine's fruity aroma.
The grapes are then carefully pressed while the sediments are left to settle naturally. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in small French oak barrels (12 months) and in steel barrels (6 months) which give this reserve harmony and longevity. Before releasing this unique wine, presented in ultra-modern bottles on the market, a period of further months of
Bottle-aged to ensure a product of exceptional quality.

Our traditional family winery is located in the heart of the South Tyrolean plains, a region that has been considered a wine region for countless generations of winemakers. Viticulture has been part of our family's history for nearly a hundred years, and our love of wine remains deeply rooted in our hearts. It's important to us that our wines are crafted naturally, that they reflect their original character, and that they embody the unique characteristics of a unique terroir.

For generations, the Peter Zemmer Estate has been producing top-quality wines that fully reflect the Alpine character of their terroirs. Our goal is to process healthy grapes as naturally as possible, using the most modern and innovative techniques. The expressive power of our wines is inextricably linked to the vineyards, which represent the ideal starting point.

Meticulous care of the vines and the surrounding vegetation, combined with rigorous selection, are the fundamental and essential prerequisites for the authenticity of the wines. After harvest, the grapes are transported to the cellar, where they are always processed with the utmost respect for nature. Maturation on fine lees gives our wines balance and structure. The special Crus mature in large and small oak barrels, producing the finest wines. Peter Zemmer is committed to ensuring that his authentic wines reflect their original character as closely as possible and fully express the specificity of a unique and extraordinary terroir. The fascinating blend of tradition and innovation, man and nature, sensitivity and sensuality, fully expresses the passion and delicacy with which Peter Zemmer imbues his wines with a life of their own.
