Description

The Müller Thurgau grape variety is a cross between Riesling and Madeleine Royale, created in Geisenheim, Germany, in the late 19th century by Swiss botanist Hermann Müller—whose name it is—originally from the canton of Thurgau. This grape variety thrives on the high, sunny slopes of the Isarco Valley, characterized by fine-textured soil. The harsher climate of these areas, and especially the warm days and cool nights during the grape ripening period, give Müller Thurgau its characteristic freshness and the varied bouquet that has made it so renowned.

Cellar

As a Cooperative Winery, we strongly believe in the value of uniting small winemakers, with the goal of fostering for future generations the unbreakable bond that has existed for centuries in the Isarco Valley between the people and this extreme territory where our heroic wines are born. Our white wines are among the most sought-after in Alto Adige, thanks to the excellent quality of the grapes and the meticulous production process.
In these northernmost wine-producing regions of Italy, where glaciers meet the rolling hills of the Mediterranean, grape varieties that yield wines of great character have long been cultivated. Thanks to the diversity of soils, growing areas, and exposures, as well as the unique microclimate, each vineyard develops a unique personality and distinctive character.
Over time, specific varieties and clones have been selected, giving our winery's wines a unique and surprising character. The terraces require constant dedication throughout the year and require exclusively manual intervention. For this reason, the spirit of each winemaking family is strongly tied to their vineyard.
The precious knowledge of the farmers is, in essence, the heart of the Isarco Valley winemaking tradition, which sees the primary goal of producing high-quality grapes, incorporating environmentally sustainable practices that allow the vines to produce their best. Each year, 130 winemakers deliver their harvests from various growing areas to the Cantina Valle Isarco and entrust them to the expert cellar master.
The deep roots of the vines draw precious nutrients from the fertile soil, composed of quartzophyllites, diorites, and volcanic porphyritic formations. This diversity of minerals, combined with the many sunny days, significant temperature peaks, and even rainfall distribution, are responsible for the broad aromatic spectrum of our wines.
