Pinot Noir della Sala displays a penetrating ruby ​​red color with garnet highlights. The nose expresses the variety's typical aromas, such as violets, currants, and raspberries, combined with subtle hints of pink pepper. On the palate, it is mellow, harmonious, rich in spicy nuances. With its gentle soul and silky, refined tannins, it is a wine ready to drink now but capable of expressing itself extraordinarily well into the future.

Castello della Sala is located in Umbria, a short distance from the Tuscan border, approximately 18 kilometers from the historic city of Orvieto. The lands of the Castello, an imposing medieval manor, extend over 500 hectares, 170 hectares of which are planted with vineyards, at an altitude of 220-470 meters above sea level, amid the rolling hills that characterize the beautiful countryside of this area. The soil is predominantly clayey and calcareous, rich in fossil shells, with vineyards well exposed to the rising sun and excellent temperature ranges: Castello della Sala is a highly suited area for the production of white wines. One exception: Pinot Noir, which finds ideal conditions in this terroir to express its full potential.
