Description

An expression of the winemaking potential of the Montecchio area and the excellence of the Umbrian estate, Marciliano takes its name from the very farm where it is produced, acquired by Falesco in 1999.

Tasting notes

Deep in color, it has a complex and warm aroma with hints of ripe blackberries followed by an enveloping and spicy taste with firm but graceful tannins.

Cellar

Brothers Renzo and Riccardo Cotarella founded the Falesco Winery in Montefiascone, in Upper Lazio, with the aim of recovering the area's ancient vines.

After many years of experimentation and research on the Roscetto variety, production of Poggio dei Gelsi began: a selection of EST! EST!! EST!!! that has restored prestige to an unjustly forgotten territory and wine.

Falesco enriches its assets with the acquisition of the Marciliano farm, covering approximately 260 hectares, located on the stunning hillside south of Orvieto, in the municipalities of Montecchio and Baschi. These vineyards provide the grapes for the Marciliano wine, and the new winery was built on this site in Umbria.
