Tasting notes

With an intense ruby red color, it has an aromatic profile of great fruit and pleasantness, integrated with hints of spices that make it complex and varied. With an excellent structure, it is capable of evolving over time and refining even for several years, significantly improving its organoleptic characteristics.

Cellar

Our family's history is deeply intertwined with the history of Bolgheri, rooted in the early 1950s, when my parents arrived here from the Marche region, drawn by the opportunity to purchase and cultivate the land in this part of Tuscany. In the 1950s, Bolgheri was a far cry from the combination of wine and quality that distinguishes it today. In those years, vegetables, fruit orchards, and olive groves shared the landscape with vineyards, all of which were primarily consumed at home. The Bolgheri area was a land of farmers; the work was hard, yet rural culture dominated with its natural principles and a sense of community that allowed for integration among the various communities who found themselves coexisting here, attracted by the vast availability of land to cultivate. "The rest is recent history, the worldwide recognition of the quality of so much effort, but also of so much love, which makes our company a flagship for a unique and precious terroir." Today, the company spans 27 hectares of privately owned land, 15 of which are vineyards, allowing for an average annual production of approximately 80,000 bottles. The varieties currently grown are those that characterize the area: Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Petit Verdot, a small amount of Sangiovese, and Vermentino. "Olive trees are also prominent on our land, a living testimony to Bolgheri's past, where the hills were primarily devoted to olive growing. Out of respect for the landscape and our roots, we decided to preserve them and plant new vines among the old rows of still-productive olive trees." Since the 2010 vintage, we have been managing the company entirely organically, respecting the land, the environment, and the people who live and work there. The desire to grow always goes hand in hand with the pursuit of quality and respect for values, in the name of a unique terroir such as Bolgheri.
