Description

The Amarone from the Pruviniano Collection originates from the vineyards of the Prognol hamlet of the Domìni Veneti estate, in the Marano della Valpolicella valley, from lands that bore the name of Pruviniano until 1177.

The grapes that make up the classic Amarone blend are harvested between September and October, followed by a drying period in the drying room that lasts until January. Fermentation takes place with a slow maceration lasting 30 days, 12 of which are at low temperature. After malolactic fermentation, the wine ages first in oak barrels for 18 months and then in the bottle for another 6-8 months.

Tasting notes

Amarone della Valpolicella DOCG Classico Collezione Pruviniano is a dry red wine of extraordinary strength, with a dense, garnet color and an intense, fruity aroma.
The flavor is of great structure and softness, with an aftertaste of dried fruit and toasting.

Cellar

Domìni Veneti is the epitome of quality wines from the Valpolicella Classica and Veronese regions. It represents the most authentic expression of a geographically and historically distinct territory.
Since 1968, the "Valpolicella Classica del vino" (Valpolicella Classica wine) has been designated as the production zone for Valpolicella DOC wines, a territorial area that includes the municipalities of the Historic and Geographical Valpolicella regions. The term "Classica" (Classic) distinguishes the historic zone from the so-called "extended" zone, which includes the territories east of Verona.
A vast, yet clearly defined, territory, which, together with the varied and distinctive properties of the native grape varieties (Corvina Veronese, Corvinone, Rondinella, Molinara, Dindarella, Oseleta, Rossignola, Negrara, Forselina), a profound respect for the land, and traditional production techniques, determines the absolute originality of Valpolicella wines.
This is nature's heritage, to be made to flourish with respect.
