Guado al Tasso displays a deep ruby ​​red color. The nose is captivating with notes of small black fruits, sweet spices, toasted wood, and underbrush. On the palate, it displays a tannic texture of splendid harmony, refinement, and persistence. A wine already enjoyable in its youth, perhaps even more so than the previous vintage, but capable of improving and evolving over time with a few more years of bottle aging.

Tenuta Guado al Tasso is located in the small but prestigious Bolgheri DOC, on the coast of Alta Maremma, about one hundred kilometers southwest of Florence. This appellation has a relatively short history (established in 1995) but boasts international fame as a new benchmark in the global winemaking scene. Tenuta Guado al Tasso extends across 320 hectares of vineyards, on a splendid plain surrounded by hills known as the "Bolgheri amphitheater" due to its unique shape. The Guado al Tasso vineyards are planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, and Vermentino grapes. They enjoy a mild climate thanks to the nearby sea: constant breezes mitigate the summer heat and the harsh winters, clearing the sky and maintaining high levels of sunshine.
