The history of Eristoff vodka is intertwined with that of the Russian and Georgian families. Eristoff received a 16th-century mandate from the Tsar to administer the province of Racha (Virshan, or Persian, meaning "land of wolves"). It was in the 19th century and the rise of the famous vodka in European royal courts that Prince Eristoff began searching for the perfect recipe for vodka distilleries, and it was using the Smirnoff method, namely carbon filtration, that he was able to achieve the desired perfect balance.
