According to legend, when the waves crashed with unusual force on Talisker Bay, a luminous creature emerged from the depths with its captivating glow and was carried by the waves to the Talisker distillery, thus creating a spirit forged by the sea. Aged in lightly peated ex-bourbon casks, the Talisker 11 Year Old Special Release 2022 is a spirit as smoky and stormy as its homeland… A deep and brilliant golden yellow, the nose opens immediately with a predominantly marine note that then gives way to hints of bonfire, charcoal, and burnt wood. On the palate, it displays an oily finish, followed by spicy notes and even a slight fruity sweetness, but without ever losing its initial savory character, towards a long, slightly smoky and very spicy finish.
