Description

The 2004 vintage will mark the history of Dom Pérignon for its richness and generosity.
Unlike 2003, vegetative development was regular and without anomalies, resulting in an abundant yield of large berries. Although the climate had promised to be mild, with a rather cool August, it was the dry heat of the final weeks that determined the character of the vintage. Harvest began on September 24th, with perfectly healthy and ripe grapes.

Tasting notes

The fruit of the 2004 vintage, though subtle, emerges more clearly in this Second Life of the wine. Pink grapefruit and blood orange give way to fig on the finish. Further aging on the lees elevates the vintage's minerality to a glorious maturity, a hallmark of Dom Pérignon: cocoa, mocha, toasted notes, brioche, and honey.

In a play of balance, the wine evolves between tension and lightness. An extreme precision, tactile, mysterious, and chiseled. A persistent, elegant character, on a powerful, licorice note.
