Nature has bestowed upon licorice its best qualities; in fact, the active ingredients and the sweet, pleasant flavor of its root have been known since ancient times. To produce the licorice juice needed for one liter of Liquorice Caffo, a minimum of 400 grams of Calabrian DOP licorice root is used. The natural extraction takes place in Calabria at the Liquirizia Caffo plant, following an exclusive hot infusion recipe in water, without the use of other solvents.
