Don Papa Gayuma, meaning "love potion," pays homage to the unique rituals performed by the shamans of Mount Kanlaon and Isla del Fuego. It's aged in ex-bourbon American oak barrels for three years before undergoing a double barrel finish: six months in high-toasted ex-Rioja barrels, followed by three months in rich, warm, and smoky toasted oak barrels that previously held Islay Scotch whisky. Dark amber in color, the nose immediately embraces peaty notes, opening with notes of soft, delicate vanilla, light orange peel, intense cocoa, and hints of clove and mint, culminating in a smoky, spicy finish.
