A deep ruby ​​red with purple highlights, Tignanello 2022 strikes the nose with notes of cherry, ripe black cherry, and pomegranate seeds. Tenuta Tignanello is located in the heart of Chianti Classico, on the rolling hills between the Greve and Pesa valleys. It extends over 319 hectares, with approximately 130 hectares of vineyards. Among its vineyards are two treasures: the Tignanello vineyard and the Solaia vineyard, which extend across the same hillside on soils derived from Pliocene marine marl with limestone and schist, and enjoy warm days and cool nights during the growing season. From these eponymous vineyards, Solaia and Tignanello are produced, which have been described by the international press as "among the most influential wines in the history of Italian winemaking." Tenuta Tignanello's vineyards are composed primarily of the native Sangiovese grape, along with non-traditional varieties such as Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc.
