Tasting notes

In the glass, Jasci & Marchesani's Pecorino Terre di Chieti is a luminous sip that captivates from the first glance: a brilliant straw yellow, with nuances that almost touch gold in the subtlest reflections.
When approached by the nose, Pecorino reveals its fruity and earthy soul: aromas of ripe yellow fruit, delicate notes reminiscent of peach or plum, interspersed with mineral hints and that hint of earth, moist but noble, reminiscent of the soil of the Abruzzo hills.
On the palate, it's assertive yet elegant: dry, full-bodied, with a freshness that never tires, and a balanced savory finish that cleanses the mouth and invites another sip. The aroma and flavor linger long, leaving fragrant traces of fruit, bitter almond, a hint of citrus, and that mineral component that connects the aroma and flavor.

Cellar

Jasci & Marchesani have been dedicated to organic winemaking since 1960, even anticipating the very concept of sustainable practices. They achieved official certification in 1978, becoming one of the first Italian wineries to do so. Currently, the company's vineyards span 33 hectares, owned by the company, and another 7 hectares, shared-cropped. The oldest vineyard dates back to 1973, allowing them to grow all the grapes themselves, then vinified in the winery, which operates with renewable energy. Each vineyard produces a different product; those cultivated in the Sinello Valley produce saline and savory white wines, while the clayey soil of the hills of the central Vasto area, thanks to its exposure and temperature range, produces a unique and sought-after Montepulciano, such as Janù.
