Palazzone Sangiovese IGT 75cl wine

It has a ruby ​​color with purple highlights; on the nose, it opens with notes of red fruit, is intense and fragrant; on the palate, it is concentrated, long and refined, and the tannic component blends perfectly with the oak in an expression of finesse and elegance.

In the late 1960s, the Dubini family purchased the "Palazzone" estate in Rocca Ripesena, identified by Monaldo Monaldeschi della Cervara, a historian from a noble Orvieto family, along with the property built in 1299 by Cardinal Theodoric for the first Jubilee, as a hospice for pilgrims. Today, after a restoration that respects its noble architecture, the "Palazzone" is a boutique hotel with elegant suites. On sedimentary and clayey soils, with a breathtaking view of the Orvieto cliffs, 25 hectares of vineyards have been planted to produce wines of great complexity and character. Beginning in the 1980s, under the guidance of Giovanni and Lodovico Dubini, small-scale winemaking and bottling operations allowed them to gain the necessary experience. By 1988, with the construction of the new winery, they were able to vinify the entire production and organize marketing, making "Palazzone" one of the most significant names in Umbrian winemaking.
