Description

A timeless and precious pact with the land ties the Barisèi family to their lands, cultivated for generations; the result of this partnership is a wine with a citrusy aroma that envelops you like a breath of sea breeze.

Tasting notes

Pale straw yellow, it expresses itself with great clarity on the nose, with aromas of apple, fresh almond, Amalfi lemon, and mint; the refreshing sensation continues on the palate, with notes of lime and a lovely salty finish. A medium-bodied wine with good persistence, it is extremely drinkable.

Cellar

The Barisellis have been winemakers since 1898: Paolo, great-grandfather of Gian Mario (currently head of the company), followed by Giuseppe and his sons, Francesco and Gianbattista. Together, starting with Paolo's work as a tenant, they have written a story of knowledge transmission, intergenerational dialogue, and dedication to a shared purpose. Paolo was the first to introduce the winemaker to the vineyard, after purchasing a farmhouse in Nigoline di Corte Franca at the beginning of the last century. Giuseppe, in the post-war period, was responsible for expanding the vineyard from three to ten hectares. The turning point came in the 1990s, with the renovation of the farmhouse and the launch, in the second half of the decade, of the Solive agritourism business, one of the first in the area.

In 1993, the first 5,000 bottles under the Solive brand were vinified: launched on the local market in 1997, they immediately received positive feedback.

This is how Gian Mario developed a renewed vision that would usher in a process of growth, both in terms of experience and awareness, culminating in the founding of the Erbusco winery in 2002. The first bottles vinified here crossed the borders of the local market in 2006.

The virtuous agricultural chain inaugurated at the end of the 19th century, which went from livestock breeding through the farm to arrive at the agritourism, found its natural fulfillment in the new winery, which provided the possibility and the space, even intellectual, to dedicate assiduously to the elevation of its contents.

Thus, in 2011, a new goal began to take shape: the Solive Franciacorta DOCG collection, now reserved for the agriturismo's guests, was joined by the first bottles of the Riserva destined to bear the new mark of excellence, I Barisèi, the quintessence of many years spent testing one's capabilities and value.

Craftsmanship and energy, harmony, curiosity, and ambition; the same traits that characterize I Barisèi's deep connection to their homeland, in their awareness of its importance, are found in the pragmatism of a family that has always supported its desire for experimentation and innovation. This dedication is now reflected in the application of cryomaceration techniques and in activities aimed at protecting and enhancing biodiversity.
