Description

The name Ferentano derives from the archaeological site of Ferento: the ancient Etruscan city, located near the vineyards where the Roscetto grapes used to produce this wine are grown.

Tasting notes

A pure Roscetto, it offers a rich array of aromas on the nose, ranging from banana to pineapple, from vegetal to vanilla. On the palate, it is powerful, rich, smooth, and full-bodied, with an excellent and long finish.

Cellar

Brothers Renzo and Riccardo Cotarella founded the Falesco Winery in Montefiascone, in Upper Lazio, with the aim of recovering the area's ancient vines.

After many years of experimentation and research on the Roscetto variety, production of Poggio dei Gelsi began: a selection of EST! EST!! EST!!! that has restored prestige to an unjustly forgotten territory and wine.

Falesco enriches its assets with the acquisition of the Marciliano farm, covering approximately 260 hectares, located on the stunning hillside south of Orvieto, in the municipalities of Montecchio and Baschi. These vineyards provide the grapes for the Marciliano wine, and the new winery was built on this site in Umbria.
