Castello della Sala Conte della Vipera IGT 150cl wine

Conte della Vipera is straw yellow in color with subtle greenish and golden highlights. On the nose, intense notes of lychee, pineapple, and passion fruit combine with pleasant hints of grapefruit. On the palate, it is fresh, taut, and harmonious, characterized by good salinity and persistence, and an aftertaste reminiscent of citron peel and pineapple.

Castello della Sala is located in Umbria, a short distance from the Tuscan border, approximately 18 kilometers from the historic city of Orvieto. The lands of the Castello, an imposing medieval manor, extend over 500 hectares, 170 hectares of which are planted with vineyards, at an altitude of 220-470 meters above sea level, amid the rolling hills that characterize the beautiful countryside of this area. The soil is predominantly clayey and calcareous, rich in fossil shells, with vineyards well exposed to the rising sun and excellent temperature ranges: Castello della Sala is a highly suited area for the production of white wines. One exception: Pinot Noir, which finds ideal conditions in this terroir to express its full potential.
